Emine Emel Balcı, born in 1984 in Turkey, studied Film and Television at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. After working as an assistant director and screenwriter, she made her first short documentary in 2007. In 2011, Emine Emel Balcı took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus.
