Tami Lynn is probably best remembered for her chart hit 'I'm Gonna Run Away From You' b/w 'The Boy Next Door', which was a hit in May 1971 on the Mojo imprint and was also released on Atlantic. She sang as a child in church choirs, and with visiting groups such as the Clara Ward Singers, as well as in a school production of Show Boat.
American soul singer. Lynn grew up singing gospel in New Orleans, and was discovered in the early 60s by bandleader Alvin Tyler. In addition to her own releases, she sang backup on King Floyd recordings. Born: 25 January 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
