Born in 1937 some decades before the Caribbean islands won their freedom from colonial rule, Hall’s early life owed much to a mother who always encouraged him to aim high. Wes took her literally – from the humblest of backgrounds he was going to win a scholarship to Combermere School and he was going to play cricket for West Indies!
Wes Hall is Senior Vice President of Philanthropy and Education and directs Battelle’s efforts to expand STEM learning opportunities for all students through philanthropy and education initiatives.
