Jehane Noujaim (Arabic: جيهان نجيم, IPA: [ʒeˈhæːn nʊˈʒeːm]) (born May 17, 1974) is an American documentary film director best known for her films Control Room, [3] Startup.com, Pangea Day and The Square. She has co-directed The Great Hack and The Vow with Karim Amer.
Jehane Noujaim is a TED Prize winner and a documentary filmmaker who covers the Middle East and its conflicts. She directed Control Room and The Square, which show the Iraq war and the Egyptian revolution from different perspectives.

Jehane Noujaim began her career as a photographer and filmmaker in Cairo, Egypt. She attended Harvard University and was awarded the Gardiner Fellowship. She then joined the MTV news and documentary division as a producer for the series Unfiltered.
