Tales from Earthsea, from Studio Ghibli, is the first anime film adaptation of any part of the Earthsea series by Ursula K. Le Guin. In the past, many directors, including Hayao Miyazaki, had tried to adapt Earthsea for film, but were disapproved by the author herself.
