Lau Kar Wing ( (simplified Chinese: 刘家荣; traditional Chinese: 劉家榮; pinyin: Liú Jiārong, Liu Jiayung; born 1944) is a Hong Kong martial arts film director, action choreographer and actor.
Lau Kar-leung (28 July 1934 – 25 June 2013) was a Chinese actor, filmmaker, choreographer, and martial artist from Hong Kong. Lau is best known for the films he made in the 1970s and 1980s for the Shaw Brothers Studio.
Liu began practicing martial arts at seven, and joined the film industry as a martial arts stuntsman while a teenager, to become action director on martial arts movies of the 50s and 60s. During the 1970's Liu was one of Hong Kong's most dominant, innovative and influential martial arts directors.
