Coniah linked up with the squad upon their return from a pre-season camp in Spain, and kept a clean-sheet in his first senior appearance of 2023-24 away at Millwall - all whilst on a rolling week-to-week contract. He then penned a new permanent deal to keep him with the Royals for a further two seasons.
