- Guga are gannet chicks. About 2,000 of the young seabirds are taken from the tiny island of Sula Sgeir, about 40 miles (64km) north of Ness on Lewis, to be eaten as a delicacy.
- Gannet can be found elsewhere in the UK. The biggest mainland colony is at Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire. Troup Head on the Aberdeenshire coast is home to another large colony, while offshore the birds gather in numbers on St Kilda, the Northern Isles and Bass Rock in Scotland and Grassholm in Wales.
- Ten men from Ness take part in the Sula Sgeir hunt. The hunters spend 10 days harvesting the chicks. Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil has said the hunt has "legendary status" and was similar to activities on Iceland and the Faroes that perhaps started at the time of the Vikings.
- But the hunt has its critics. The Scottish SPCA has described the method used to kill the birds - a blow to the head - as "cruel" and "barbaric". The animal welfare charity has made frequent calls for the harvest to be banned.

Gustavo Tosta (born: July 27, 1980 (1980-07-27) [age 43]), better known as Guga Foods (or simply Guga), sometimes known on other social media and on his main channel as Sous Vide Everything, is a Brazilian-American cooking YouTuber who is known for his various recipes, especially those related to steaks. He joined YouTube on July 30, 2015.
Despite Guga Foods being the second channel of Sous Vide Everything (though both channels have a similar premise of sharing unique recipes), Guga Foods has around twice as many subscribers as Sous Vide Everything as of November 2021.
He uploads a wide variety of recipes, especially steak recipes. However, he does also have a wide variety of other recipes from other meat, such as BBQ recipes and chicken recipes. Moreover, he does have a couple of BBQ/cooking reviews and tutorials, but they are not the main focus on his channel.
Guga also does a variety of food experiments. These include dry aging (especially rib roast in various substances), cooking using only a specific instrument (toaster oven, grill, deep fryer, etc.), and various methods of tenderizing eye round. Guga had also done various collaborations with other YouTubers when it comes to making weird experiments, as well.
On January 6, 2021, Guga's nephew Angel corroded Guga's beloved cast iron skillet in 2 weeks, leading to Guga uploading a video on how to restore a cast iron skillet and has intentions to "dry age" his nephew, which spanned loads of joke comments about dry aging Angel, to the point where an animation channel DOODLES AND THINGS made an animation about Guga actually dry aging Angel.
On November 20, 2022, Guga has earned the 'Uncle' title from teaching Uncle Roger on how to cook steaks, one of the only foods he is not very good at.
