Connect: Use your computer or mobile device to connect to the extender’s WiFi network, named NETGEAR_EXT by default. The network may be open or use ‘password’ as the default password. - Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your extender’s network. Note: Your router and extender might have different WiFi network names (SSIDs).
- If your extender and router use different WiFi network names (SSIDs), type www.mywifiext.net into the address field of your web browser.
- If your extender and router use the same WiFi network name (SSID), type http:// (for example, http://192.168.1.3) into your browser’s address field.
- Click or tap Enter. A login page displays.
- Plug in your extender. The Power LED lights. If your Power LED does not light, press the Power or On/Off button.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the extender's WiFi network. The extender's default WiFi network name (SSID) is NETGEAR_EXT. The extender network either has no password or the default password is password.
- Launch a web browser and enter mywifiext.net or 192.168.1.250. The New Extender Setup page displays.
- Click or tap NEW EXTENDER SETUP. If prompted to accept terms and conditions, click or tap YES or I AGREE.
