Firstly, it was never meant to represent an accurate reality. It is meant to represent a specific reality. Watchers need to understand that the problems that ramy and other characters have is their own problems. The show is surely not a representation of anything, it is just drama. Sure the show is very vulgular and sexually explicit.

In fact most Muslims in the show outside of Ramy's family are what could be considered really good Muslims. His Doctor friend, his restaurant owner friend, the people he meets at the mosque's. There's so so many examples of really good muslims in the show. The point of the show is how troubled and ultimately a messed up person Ramy is himself.
