Apr 24, 2020 · Second, when scanning for networks in the Pi-Star’s Wireless Configuration, the SSID sometimes would not show up in the list of available networks. Before clicking the Scan for Networks button make sure your iPhone’s Personal Hotspot is enabled and that you remain on the Personal Hotspot screen. It may take a few scans to see your SSID appear.

My main mobile device is my iPhone with cellular data. The iPhone switches between WiFi and cellular automatically and seamlessly. But the iPhone doesn't switch the hotspot between WiFi/cellular internet sharing. With Android, I can be connected to the internet using WiFi, and share the connection via Bluetooth.
If your hotspot isn’t being broadcast. In settings Turn off your hotspot on your iPhone, then go to wifi in settings and turn it off too. Now go back to hotspot and select allow others to join. It’ll request wifi to be enabled, allow it and now it’ll broadcast again. So stupid I know.
