Our Founder: George W. Jenkins (1907 – 1996) George Jenkins, founder and Chairman Emeritus of Publix Super Markets Inc., was born in Harris City, Ga., Sept. 29, 1907. Located in the vicinity of Palm Aire; where there are numerous apartments/condos, townhouses, a country club, and a resort, this Publix is very nice and clean with organized aisles. Same as every other Publix supermarket when it comes to various departments, products, and price. Satisfactory customer service.
