Nov 18, 1999 · Salutations. This is just a brief guide on the SeeD Written Tests of Final Fantasy VIII, giving the questions, the answers, and reviews of each test, which are more or less quick references for those of you who just want to get the tests over with as quickly as possible ^_~.
Decreases fastest if you kill 0 and slowest if you kill 9, scaling in between. - Kill exactly 10 enemies per paycheck and your rank will stay exactly where it is forever. - Kill more than 10 enemies per paycheck and your rank will gradually increase. The more kills above 10 you get, the faster it increases.

That makes enough sense for a visual distinction. Also, the Japanese have no "D"; they do, though, have a transliteration (probably "di", or "du" with a truncated "-u" when using it as part of a transliterated word). Moreover, IIRC, the Japanese FFVIII script uses, verbatim, "SeeD".
