Nov 2, 2007 · Reports above of the arm being broken imply the battery retention arm, which does impose considerable force on the battery. Can I suggest instead of removing the battery, simply slipping the corner of a plastic credit card between the battery and the arm for 2 – 3 min thus breaking the circuit.
