May 31, 2020 · THE SPIKES GANG has some good things going for it, especially American Icon Lee Marvin. Also, in my humble opinion, many movies directed by Richard Fleischer are worth watching, because he is an interesting director. Fleischer has made some near-great movies, as well as some near-gosh-awful ones. VIOLENT SATURDAY(1955) is another worth a watch.

Directed by American Richard Fleischer, and starring the always wonderful Lee Marvin, he may well be the big name here, but arguably plays second fiddle to three decent turns from Gary Grimes, Ron Howard, and Charles Martin Smith, as young men who make one foolish ...
