Like a Coca-Cola, it's tempting, you know it's not good for you, but you're going to drink it all up over the next hour and a half regardless. You'll definitely get a similarly banal experience watching Thir13en Ghosts, so I'd recommend reading even just a few pages of a Stephen King novel afterwards to appease your remaining brain cells.

Flash frames attack the eyeballs while the theater trembles with crashes, bangs, shatters, screams, rumbles and roars. Forget about fighting the ghosts; they ought to attack the sub-woofer. The experience of watching the film is literally painful. It hurts the eyes and ears.

The film perspires with potential scares, complete with an intriguing premise, a tantalizing trailer, and an astonishing visual appearance. Unfortunately, the screenplay drops dead on arrival, filled with enough recycled moments and cluncky, one-dimensional dialogue to wake the dead. This movie is a wasted opportunity.
