The lack of clearer signage and entrance makes you wonder if you made the right decision to come here but that is quickly dispelled when you meet Nebyou and taste Betty’s cooking.

Habesha is an old Ethiopian name and this Sackville Street restaurant is Manchester's only Ethiopian restaurant. It's a unique venue serving east African delicacies, all cooked fresh to order. Habesha has been open five years and the proprietor used to own and run a hotel in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Adaba.
It was a colleague who mentioned Habesha to me and how they'd enjoyed eating there, so when it was on the list for Yelp Manchester's World Food Tour I couldn't say no.
