Lorenzo Carcaterra (born October 16, 1954) is an American writer of Italian descent. Hell’s Kitchen is the setting for his most famous book, Sleepers, which was adapted as a 1996 film of the same name. In April 2009, he joined True/Slant as a blogger.

Lorenzo Carcaterra has written the screenplay for the movie and will also be the executive producer. In 2006, he published the ‘Chasers’ which was a sequel to Apaches’ and the movie rights for the book were taken by producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Till date, more than 75,000 copies have been sold.
