   pretty much everyone who applies (with a chance of getting in) to stanford has an LSAT and GPA in the 98th or 99th percentile. in other words they are picking from the people with the best stats. but they can’t take everyone. so if you’ve just got stats and the rest of your application is unexceptional, it doesn’t make sense for stanford to let you in.
