Lake Artifact, clearly sponsored by Genesee Beer, is one of the most competent amateur sci-fi horror films I’ve seen in the last 5-years. It takes a difficult genre that many films have done successfully before it and manages to match a lot of those qualities with a seemingly minimal budget.
