  2. Feb 14, 2024 · The ECF has announced that the 2024 British Championships are once again to be held in Hull, from Thursday 25th July to Sunday 4th August. Hull last hosted the full British Championships in 2018, though it also hosted parts of the slim-line first post-Covid over-the-board championships in 2021.

  4. 7/28/2024 – The 110th edition of the British Chess Championship is taking place from 27 July to 4 August in Hull. The main event is a 9-round Swiss open featuring 86 participants. Defending champion Michael Adams is one of four players rated 2600 or above - David Howell, Gawain Jones and Luke McShane are the remaining three.
