Mary Andrews (née Maiden) is a recurring character on The CW's Riverdale. She is portrayed by Molly Ringwald. Mary is Archie's mother and the widow of the late Fred Andrews. They separated, and Mary moved to Chicago, but the divorce never carried through, as Fred unexpectedly passed away.
He later went on to marry Mary Andrews and she would give birth to their first and only child, Archie Andrews. However, that did not last. He and Mary separated, which was not amicable as the two had trouble being in the same room together without a mediator present and Mary moved away to Chicago.
