Aug 22, 2023 · The Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake story was actually born out of existing episodes of the original Adventure Time story. Character designer Natasha Allegri had shared unused designs of the characters on social media while working on the show, and fan response was so positive, that the decision was made to include them in an episode of Season 3.
