Pelletier started his singing career in 1992 with his first self-titled debut album. He was cast as James Dean in the same year Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon's La Legende de Jimmy. Two years later, he was cast in rock opera Starmaniaas Johnny Rockfort, also by Berger and Plamondon.
