The Barber Institute of Fine Arts houses a leading art gallery and concert hall within its Grade-1 listed building, on the University of Birmingham’s Edgbaston campus.
The Barber Institute of Fine Arts is an art gallery and concert hall in Birmingham, England. It is situated in purpose-built premises on the campus of the University of Birmingham. The Grade I listed Art Deco building was designed by Robert Atkinson in the 1930s and opened in 1939 by Queen Mary.
Campus maps and directions. The galleries at the Grade-I listed Barber Institute boast an outstanding art collection, where you can see masterpieces by Botticelli, Rubens, Gainsborough, Turner and Rossetti, as well as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir and Van Gogh.
