The BU Medical Campus: a mixture of old and new. The BU Medical Center Hospital (which merged with Boston City Hospital in 1996 and is now Boston Medical Center) has roots to 1855, the School of Medicine began in 1873, and Boston City Hospital was built in the early 1860s.
