    Henry River Mill Village is an abandoned textile mill town. The town was used as a filming location for District 12 in The Hunger Games, where Katniss, Peeta, and Gale live. Katniss' home and the bakery where Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellarkworks are located in this town.

    The Big Ivy Area is a forest located northeast of Asheville. The location was used as the District 12 forests and also serves as a meadow. Katniss and Gale hang out in the woods and the meadow before the Reaping for the 74th Hunger Games.

    Private warehouses in the town of Shelby were used for the Hob, which is District 12's black market. It is here where Katniss obtains the mockingjay pin from an old woman named Greasy Sae.
