Produced by Robert Fellows for RKO Radio Pictures, the film was released in the United States on October 17, 1944. Upon its theatrical release, the film received generally good reviews and was successful at the box office, earning $2 million in rentals.
Plot. Tall in the Saddle. Summaries. Ranch hand Rocklin arrives in town to start his new job but his employer has been murdered and the locals don't seem too friendly. When a stranger arrives in a western town he finds that the rancher who sent for him has been murdered.
