The first season of Hamster & Gretel was first announced by Disney Channel on October 12, 2020. The season debuted with the episodes, "Empower Failure" and "Oakey Dokey" on August 12, 2022 after the extended edition of Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3, then officially premiered on August 13, 2022, in its regular time slot on Saturday mornings.
