Gidget finally gets married and rebels against the social caste system in her new husband's company. After more than a year of engagement, and after Jeff (Moondoggie) secures a good job with a large company, he and Gidget set a date for their wedding.
Jul 22, 2016 · Gidget and Moondoggie’s romance started onscreen in 1959 on the beaches of Malibu. Though the real Gidget didn’t marry “Moondoggie,” the fictional one tied the knot in a 1972 TV movie, “Gidget Gets Married.” At the end of the TV movie “Gidget Grows Up” (1969), Gidget and Jeff get engaged.
In a direct continuation of Gidget Grows Up, Gidget gets married to Jeff "Moondoggie" and follows him to his new job with a firm that segregates its employees into different caste systems and gated communities. Gidget takes it upon herself to fight the system and integrate the town.
