Jun 21, 2016 · In 1915, Allan Herschell created a new company independent of the Herschell-Spillman Company, and named it Allan Herschell Company. They went on to produce a number of classic rides, six of which were built for Hersheypark. Only one of those six still operate in Hersheypark today.
The Allan Herschell Company, and its predecessor the Herschell-Spillman Company, was the most notable of them and operated from 1876 to 1959. The company produced wooden carousels into the 1930s. The Allan Herschell Company also built other amusement devices.
