The Ending: In the final moments of the film, Bart confronts Greg and manages to outsmart him, recording a confession of his crimes. The film ends with Bart walking away from the hotel, vindicated and free from the accusations that had plagued him throughout the investigation.
The footage at the end with the bullet hole through the monitor and Bart wandering the mall was an indication that he was done with observing and learning from others through a camera.
Even with all that, the movie isn’t necessarily about some murder plot, it’s about a guy with Aspergers overcoming the constant fear and making the effort it takes to feel normal. Loved the ending with him in the mall. He’s nearly fearless now after going through all that we saw

The next day, Bart is questioned by Detective Espada and claims he went home after buying ice cream, then returned to the hotel because he forgot his wallet. Espada realizes Bart is lying because if he had not had his wallet, he would not have been able to buy ice cream.
The ending should have been so much better, if anything I thought it spoiled what was otherwise a very good film, the story builds and develops gradually, but the ending was harsh and abrupt.
