The City School District of the City of New York (more commonly known as New York City Public Schools) is the largest school system in the United States (and among the largest in the world), with over 1.1 million students taught in more than 1,800 separate schools.
When you look up a school using the “ Find a School ” tool on the NYCPS website, under the overview the district will be listed. For example, by looking up the Bronx Aerospace High School and scrolling down to the Overview, we can see that it is in Geographic District 11.
