JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - One year has passed since Lon Morris College declared bankruptcy. The college auctioned off the core of their 12 acre campus, which was arranged into 16 different groupings of facilities and land. Major purchases were made by local bidders, including Jacksonville ISD.
When it closed, Lon Morris was the only two-year Methodist college west of the Mississippi River, and it had held membership in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools longer than any other two-year college in Texas.
