    • Garen. Mechanically, Garen belongs to the old school champions, with all of his abilities being point-and-click. Do not let this dissuade you from playing him, as not only does Garen have enough damage to make everyone shake in their boots, but his tankiness is legendary as well.
    • Dr. Mundo. Mundo, the Madman of Zaun, goes wherever he pleases. Even in the hands of a new and inexperienced player, this is a true statement. Dr. Mundo is one of the game’s oldest champions, that only recently got his own rework, bringing him into a more modern light.
    • Jax. Some overlap between the best top lane champions in the game, and those that beginners can effectively play is to be expected. Jax, for example, is precisely overpowered because of the strength in his simplicity.
    • Nasus. When it comes to scaling in the top lane, there is no better League of Legends champion for that job than Nasus. His Q ability, similarly to Veigar’s, collects stacks that give it more damage.

Dariusis one of the strongest early game champions around. He has high base damage, and as long as he keeps auto-attack you, he can easily blow you up in the very early game. But that isn’t the main reason why he is strong. Every auto-attack he hits a target with will take damage over time. The more auto-attacks he does, the more damage they will r...

Many champions in the top lane are melee. Akshancan abuse them with his superior range to get them low and force them to recall. If they overstay, he can quickly take them down too. He has high base damage and loves to bully the enemy. After a few trades: using his superior range and abusing his Q, he can all-in the enemy with his E and chase them ...

Settis a lane bully. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, the autos can become empowered and deal lots of damage in short trades with the enemy. Secondly, he can poke or deal burst damage with his W before and during a trade. Finally, His E is a great spell that can initiate skirmishes. His E will be the primary way he looks for trades in t...

The monkeyking Wukongis a very strong laner and skirmisher. He has great all-in potential and can easily chase the enemy down when they overextend. As long as you pick your fights during the laning phase, you’ll easily kill the enemy over and over again. Wukong has strong trading in lane thanks to the amount of attack damage he has. He also builds ...

The last champion on our list is Kled. Kled is a powerful lane bully who loves to go for aggressive trades. A good Kled player will constantly look to trade with the enemy: abusing their cooldowns and their health bars to get kills and a lead. Kled basically has two health bars, which allows him to play ultra-aggressive and risky. He can either tow...

    • Garen. Garen is one of the easiest top lane champions in the game. His Passive is very useful for a beginner because it offers him extra sustain in the lane which increases his survivability.
    • Dr Mundo. Dr Mundo is a pretty easy champion to learn because he is a tank champion. During the laning phase, all you really do is trade and farm. Dr Mundo’s Q can help him last hit in the toughest of matchups too, which will help you be a menace in the later stages of the game.
    • Nasus. Nasus just presses Q. The end. I’m being told that I can’t just leave it at that, so… Nasus doesn’t do a lot in the early game. He just needs to focus on surviving and last hitting minions with his Q to get stacks.
    • Teemo. Teemo is the only ranged champion on our list. He is a very good beginner champion because he can bully the enemy down from afar, and as most champions are melee in the top- he has a lot of bully potential.
  2. The best champ to learn from this class is definitely shen. You Will learn wave management, good laning, respecting enemy powerspikes, how to use TP (your ult itself), splitpushing or shoving waves in sidelane to make flanks... And he is really easy to execute. The best champ to learn in top lane to learn the Game. 2.4. RANGED CHAMPIONS

  3. Jul 25, 2024 · League of Legends: The Best Top Laners To Play As A Beginner. 3. Garen - The Might of Demacia. Garen is one of the easiest champions to start off with. He's extremely tanky and won't be killed after getting ganked by a jungler. He's able to escape danger with his spin and he's also got some added armor and defense in his kit.
