  1. Apr 12, 2014 · 1 Answer. URES mean how your model move in this direction. You have deformation scale 0.01... so it isn't a real deformation. Real deformation is 1. But you use SimulationXpress so you can't change this deformation. No problem. Hi, I am trying to make a spaghetti bridge for my grade 11 tech design class and want to test all my designs.

  2. URES Displacement. Hi all, I am new to SolidWorks and have been designing some parts to be milled. I am using SimulationXpress to analyze whether a part I am designing can handle a load. I am trying to figure out if the below part can hold 150lbs in the downward direction on the front face. The analysis produced the following results.

There is a little box that gives the model name, study name, plot and a value for the deformation scale of 0.412422. The color scale on the side has a min value and max value and is labled URES (mm). (what's URES?) The Values in the color scale range from 1.000e-030 - 1.648e+002 Is that 1.000000, and .001648? How are these numbers interpreted ...

I'm not sure what the displacement results are based upon. Are the displacement results computed to some fraction of Yield Strength? For example, if I simply apply a force on the end of a simply supported beam, the resulting URES value is based upon what material condition? Sorry for the simple question, it just isn't obvious initially. Thanks. 5.

May 10, 2017 · When i run the simulation, i get ures 0.5 mm but, display is not like this. When i run the simulation, i get ures an half mm but, display is not like this. original display. after the simulation , here the ures is 0.5 mm but display so difference. may i accept ures value ? thx for your replay. answers: 1. The material is A1008 steel. There will be a piece of equipment placed in the center of this plate. The support foot for this equipment is roughly 10.5" x 5.5" and the equipment weighs 300 lbs. The Ures scale gives me a max displacement of 5.506e+001...which tells me it has a displacement of 55.06" - this is preposterous.

  10. p.s. - i know that the URES scale calculates the displacement by x,y,z and if you want to find out the value of the displacement vector you have to do the "sqrt[(Ux^2+(Uy)^2+(Uz)^2)]. My question is with the high displacement value. If any physics teachers/engineers out there could point me in the right direction i would certainly appreciate it.
