The New Palace (German: Neues Palais) is a palace situated on the western side of the Sanssouci park in Potsdam, Germany. The building was begun in 1763, after the end of the Seven Years' War , under King Friedrich II ( Frederick the Great ) and was completed in 1769.
The New Palace is the last royal residence Frederick the Great would have built in his park. It was a demonstration of the Prussian state’s undiminished power and wealth following the deprivations of the Seven Years’ War (1756–63).

The New Palace is the biggest building in Sanssouci Park. It was built from 1763 to 1769 in accordance with the plans of Johann Gottfried Brühning, Heinrich Ludwig Manger, and Carl of Gontard at the west end of the main avenue of Sanssouci Park at the request of Frederick II.

The final palace commissioned by Frederick the Great, the Neues Palais has made-to-impress dimensions, a central dome and a lavish exterior capped with a parade of sandstone figures. The interior attests to the high level of artistry and craftwork of the 18th century.
Located at the end of the main avenue in Park Sanssouci, the New Palace is visible throughout the entire park and its high tambour dome is recognisable from afar. It was built between 1763 and 1769, making it the last palace to be built by Frederick the Great in Sanssouci Park.
