The Rules of Attraction is a 2002 black comedy drama film written and directed by Roger Avary, based on Bret Easton Ellis 's 1987 novel. The story follows three Camden College students who become entangled in a love triangle; a drug dealer, a virgin, and a bisexual classmate.
I know this is a movie sub, but read the book; its so good. With that said, James Vanderbeek was terrific in this; maybe the only thing I have ever liked him in.
