   No, it isn't. I try not to take IMDb ratings to heart, but the Nutty Professor is actually a good film that manages to be funny and touching. Tom Shadyac directs snappily and there is a very nicely written script, not something that is absolutely exceptional but impressive in what it sets out to do.
