Sep 5, 2023 · In the world of “travel” or 7/8-scale guitars, the Martin D-Jr 10e is a guitar that comes up frequently as an alternative to the GS Mini. It has more of a Martin sound (more Laurel than Yanny, if you will), although you won’t mistake it for a full-sized dreadnought.
Your biggest difference is that the jr is all solid wood and lil martin has a solid top but high-pressure laminate back and sides. The jr is decidedly a nicer guitar. The caveat to both being they need to be humidified.

Aug 26, 2017 · I know the D Jr. is considered a travel guitar but that is what my carbon fiber is for. I bought this guitar because it checks off so many boxes that really appeal to me; -comfortable guitar, once set up very easy to play and I even put a JP Armrest on mine for added comfort.
