      • As preposterous and over-the-top as Shoot 'Em Up may be, its humor and non-stop action make for a very enjoyable film.

  2. It will do a lot of things. “Shootem Up,” written and directed by the gung-ho Michael Davis, is the most audacious, implausible, cheerfully offensive, hyperactive action picture I’ve seen since, oh, “ Sin City,” which in comparison was a chamber drama.

  5. "Shoot' Em Up" is an enjoyable and extremely funny action movie, with the gorgeous Monica Bellucci, the tough Clive Owen and he versatile Paul Giamatti playing cartoonist characters. This pleasant film was a great surprise and the DVD has been an excellent entertainment for this Saturday night.

Smith is so fast and furious during his always-triumphant encounters with bad guys that he's deemed a "wascally wabbit" by the malevolent Mr. Hertz (Paul Giamatti).
