First Snow is a slow, moody, slightly tedious and bland film which brings nothing new to the genre. It does deliver some good acting performances. Jimmy Starks (Guy Pearce) is a sleazy but slick salesman who in the past has avoided jail time for money laundering.
Mar 25, 2007 · It's definitely made to be unclear but considering the reptition of the opening narration about the gods laughing at men who believe they control they're destiny, it seems cler that it was probably Jimmy's car. Review by Stephen M ★★★ 10. COLLAB FILM CLUB. This psychological thriller holds up fairly well, largely due to Guy Pearce and the foreboding atmosphere. It can’t fully sustain its momentum and fades near the end. But overall not bad, considering it’s a first-time director.
