Totally in line with gangster movies from Hong Kong and Hollywood; thankfully, it's more Michael Mann than Tarantino, and Varma knows the genre's history well enough that he can drop in an updated version of a 1932 dumping-the-bodies gang-war montage without blinking an eye.
