IMHO MasterClass, Khan, Coursera, Udemy, etc are good for bringing accessibility to niche skills but high quality introductory level programming instruction is everywhere. Just pick one and put in the work.
Udemy doesnt do anything to vent who and what people upload so its up to you to do your due diligence and determine whether the class will be good. They have a 30 day refund policy though and unless you download every lesson, you can even return the class after you’ve completed it if you feel it was horrible quality or that you didnt learn much.
May 29, 2023 · In my opinion, from personal experience, they are worth it if you make them worth it. Taking the course is one half of the process and the other half is utilizing what you've gained responsibly. I've built myself up as a successful entrepreneur thanks to both Udemy and the work I put into my profession. They regularly have discounts.
Nov 25, 2018 · Udemy- how good is it and which courses are worth the time I just saw that Udemy has a big sale for the next 2 days where a lot (if not all) of their courses are $9.99. I was thinking that buying a few courses would be a good way to branch out and get a broad familiarity with a variety of topics.

Apr 28, 2021 · Check out the free Udemy subreddits that list the current free Udemy courses. Some Udemy courses are great, others not so much. I’m relatively new to programming (approx 5 months). I did a little of a free codecademy JavaScript course and I liked it yet I get everyone’s complaint about codecademy, which seems universal.

I say this as someone who was able to get almost all courses from Maven Analytics for free on UDemy (Power Query, Power BI, Excel Beginner and Advance etc) -- Yes it is worth it. I dont think the certificate is worth much but what's great about the courses are that they are structured and organized. You start small and build your skills up.
Sep 14, 2021 · I just finished "100 Days of Code - The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp for 2021" on Udemy. This is coming from someone who had no coding experience 3+ months ago. I really think it is an excellent course for beginners to make them excited and interested in programming.
Sep 29, 2022 · Saying you finished a Udemy/Coursera class/certificate isn't worth anything to anyone, whereas if you say "I have a bachelor's from Harvard," it is. You can learn how to do most of that stuff on your own, & if you can prove you know it, you should be fine.
