I got accepted as a Freshman into IMSA class of 2023. I currently attend a laboratory high school similar to Uni, and students have to apply to get in. I am still deciding whether to go to IMSA or stay at my laboratory high school; which are both good options. I have a few questions regarding IMSA:

IMSA has been consistently ranked by Newsweek as one of the top ten high schools in the country for math and science, and some of its graduates have become leaders in a variety of fields. It is the top-rated public high school in Illinois on Niche.com.
IMSA is a lot different than the stereotypical high school experience, both for better and worse. It prides itself on its 'inquiry-based methods of learning', and while a lot of its curriculum is unconventional to meet this goal, its very hard to compare it to any other high school academically.
