Godless is an American Western drama television miniseries created, written and directed by Scott Frank. [1] In the series, set in 1884, a young outlaw on the run from his vengeful mentor winds up in a small New Mexico town populated almost entirely by women.

Nov 21, 2017 · At its best, “Godless” is terrific. At its worst, it’s like that overblown photo—the scale of the story is right, but the resolution is all wrong, and so the stuff that matters ends up fuzzy and indistinct. It’s easy to understand how that might happen.
Very violent, very Western, and, in a breath of fresh air: very female. Godless is a grim and visually stunning series about a small New Mexico town populated almost entirely by women, including Alice Fletcher, a reserved and self-reliant widow played by Michelle Dockery.
