Biggest pros are affordable housing ( relative to Melbourne ) and the lack of traffic. I don't have to drive like a lunatic with all the other lunatics anymore. It's measurable how stress free it is to get around. The cons are the lack of food options .

Haven’t lived in Bendigo myself in a long time but still have family there. Quarry Hill is beautiful, lovely family suburb. Kennington is mostly nice, cramped though with smaller places. Strath is a more expensive area but has some good places. Avoid Long Gully and parts of Kangaroo Flat if you can.

I've never been there, and as it will potentially be my first permanent job after 2 years of contracting, I'm just a little anxious about whether it's a good place to stay for at least a minimum of 2 years.
