   • In the film adaptation, Bifur is portrayed by William Kircher. He suffers from a head injury from an ax imbedded in his head, reverting him to only speak in the Dwarves' tounge. In the extended edition of The Battle of the Five Armies, Bifur loses the ax when he came in Bofur's defense. He is able to speak Westron again.
