- The truth is, Anna never truly healed from the trauma of her mother and Alex's death. She may have convinced the doctors at the hospital that she was well, but after coming home, she kills Rachel. The closing of the film sees her back in the hospital and seemingly happy to have finished off the woman who ruined her once-blissful home life.

Jan 28, 2009 · “The Uninvited” is done well. Note: I’m a little surprised by the PG-13, more evidence the MPAA awards the rating for what a movie doesn’t have (nudity, language, sex) than what it does have, images that could be very troubling for some younger viewers.
The Uninvited runs along two parallel storylines until we see what actually happens at movie’s end. Remember, Anna’s the poor, good girl through most of the film. But her ultimate actions throw a dark light on all her previous intentions.
Just seen ,The Uninvited’ (2009) (FULL REVIEW IN COMMENTS) It was amazing. The lead is played by Emily Browning who is in some of my favourite 00s movies (Ghost Ship, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Uninvited) and this has one of my favourtie movie plot twists/endings of all time.
