- Connect your TomTom device to your computer.
- Open your Internet browser, navigate to the Google homepage and click on "Maps" in the upper left corner of the page to start Google Maps.
- Search Google Maps for the location you seek by typing the address or the "what" and/or "where" (e.g. "bookstore" in "Madison") in the search box and click "Search Maps".
- Select your destination by clicking once on red pin that Google Maps has used to mark the location on the map and choose the "Send" link in top right corner of your screen.
I see articles saying Google and Tomtom have teamed up but cannot find anything on how to send routes from Google Maps to my Tomtom, very frustrating.
Feb 26, 2010 · I personally prefer using Google Maps.com over using the Google maps through Tyre . With Google maps .com you can click on the route and drag it where you want to go if it isn't the route from A-B that Google selects.
Mar 9, 2021 · I'm pretty sure I've exported a full MyGoogleMap full of locations at some point in the past. Having done that, we can steer you through the TomTom side of the process, which is fairly easy. It should really only take 3 steps: 1) Export from Google. 2) Convert to *.ov2 file.

Nov 30, 2007 · Yes, you can create an itinerary on google maps and transfer it to your TomTom. It's a great way to plot out a route your way rather than TomTom's. A TomTom user in Europe has set up a great script at http://houghi.org/tomtom that talks you through the process.
